Pink Drive Cycle Challenge Initiative
It is that time of the year again; the Momentum 94.7 Cycle Challenge is happening on 21 November 2010 and I need your help. I am putting together a charity initiative for the race and that is where you come in. You may or may not know why I have a passion for the Pink Drive and raising money for breast cancer awareness and prevention. In May this year my mom passed away as a result of breast cancer and two weeks later I took on the Comrades Marathon. With your help was able to raise almost R200 000 for the Pink Drive (Click here for details of the 89 Memories 1 Race initiative)
What I am doing at cycle challenge is this:
I aim to raise at least R1 000 000 for the Pink Drive, which will enable them to purchase another educational truck that will travel around the country educating people that early detection of breast cancer saves lives
In order to do this, I need at least 400 cyclists to ride the 94.7km route in support of breast cancer. I have managed to secure a starting pen (we will be starting just after 8am). We will provide you with cycling kit (Cycling shirt and pants) to show that you are part of the Pink Drive Initiative. You will also receive a Pink Drive goodie bag with some really cool stuff in it. We also have some great lucky draw prizes that only the Pink Drive cyclists stand a chance of winning.
In return for this, I need you to approach your friends, family and colleagues and raise a minimum of R3 000 in sponsorship for the Pink Drive. It’s pretty easy if you think about it. Just get 30 people you know to each sponsor R100 and you’re in the team!
In the meantime, I need you to commit to the cause by clicking here and completing the short questionnaire.
