BMW drivers will be the first people to tell you not to generalise about their behavior on the roads. But there is a group of people I believe are slightly worse, if that is possible. A group who have fast overtaken BMW drivers to become the biggest prats on the planet are the inconsiderate, arrogant and reckless bunch who think because they own a quad bike they can pretty much do as they wish.

I had a harrowing experience with one of them yesterday while out on my mountain bike. If you’re reading this, to the absolute chop that nearly got me killed yesterday, why don’t you do us all a favour and pull your bottom lip over your head and then swallow really hard. I find it hard to believe that a group of people can be so oblivious to the anger that they generate when they are around. It seems to me the attitude is “as long as I’m having fun the rest of the world can go jump”. I stay close to rather big open area where nearly every weekend these yobs are out in force creating as much of a disturbance as they possibly can. I see parents letting their kids ride these things like maniacs (with no helmet or protective gear on), what are you thinking? What are you teaching your kids? Maybe just getting them ready to own a BMW one day?
